Hanging Paragraph

I am having a issue with using the text placeholder in my powerpoint
presentation. when keying in text with wordwrap turned on, the implicit
line break caused by word wrap starts in the third poisition of the new line
rather that in poistion one. This appears to be like a hanging paragraph
but I can not turn it off.

Can anyone help?

Go to View and select Ruler. On the ruler you will see some tab setting
controls. At the bottom of the ruller is an arrowhead that points upward.
Click, hold, and drag that arrowhead to the left. That will align the tab
to the left margin of the placeholder.
