Halo Just Stopped Working

Running Halo perfectly. Got to the bit where I have to follow the Monitor -
died so left the game for a while - came back and reloaded and it just hangs
on the opening screen with the big Halo word. Nothing altered or changed in
between times. Nothing new loaded onto the PC. I have tried un-installing
and re-installing. I have re in-installed the version of Direct X that came
with it and loaded the latest video drivers and sound drivers - it still
will not load. Even tried disabling Norton Anti Virus in case it had updated
itself while I was away and that had caused a problem. Running on XP Pro.

Anyone any ideas on how to get it working again. I presume there can't be a
hardware problem as it was working perfectly up till this point.

Hi John,

Maybe there was a change made as you suspect, but it just
hasn't been isolated yet. I think using restore might help us.

Try Win XP's System Restore to return your system to a previously stable date:
