Hi,
I'm just setting up Windows XP and I am only getting a
half screen with my dos porgram. I have 2 XP machines; in
one, there is no problem, but in the other, no matter
what settings I use, I just get a half screen. I have
fiddles with the properties and buffer sizes; I have even
seen other posts with this problem, but I find no
answers. Anyone????
Thanks in advance,
Debbie
P.S. Someone told me that an earlier build of XP had this
problem but I have been unable to verify. If true, does
that mean that there is a patch?

Debbie--

Here are some moves that might help--you can go down the line:

Is that a DOS screen opened by the program in question, or did you run the
command prompt?
Rt. click the CMD icon>Click Properties>Layout Tab>Set the height value for
both the Screen Buffer Size and Window Size to 20. Set both widths to 60>OK.
Save Properties.

Try also running Program compatibility wizard and reset.

If you try Run, then CMD (not COMMAND!) you should then be able to go
fullscreen by pressing Alt-Enter.

I'm not sure if you mean that a full dos screen is in the top half or you
only have 50% of your dos real estate . Try hitting alt+enter--that'll give
you full screen dos.

Please post if you still have problem or what fixed it.
