Half inbox now showing blank messages

I don't tend to keep a lot of emails, but there are a few things that I keep.
This morning, I opened my inbox and went to view a couple of older emails.
Eight emails from February 2nd, 2010 through January 29th, 2010 are blank,
only a date appears. I have emails older than those dates, from January
29th, 2010 to August 2009, which are only 7 emails. I closed Outlook,
restarted the computer, and am still having the problem. I am running
outlook 2007, I have an MSN email account, run Windows XP Media Center,
service pack 3. I have not added any new programs in awhile and have made no
changes.
I thought about restoring from a backup PST file, but don't know how old
that file is. Any ideas?

Are the "missing" messages associated with the MSN mailbox? With what type of
Outlook account do you access the MSN mailbox? Have you logged into MSN via
web browser to see if the messages are on the server?

Hello, the messages do show up when I log into MSN, well actually, I go to
Hotmail and log in with my MSN credentials. The messages are there. The
messages were previously viewed in Outlook with no problem. Now today, I
noticed that three more messages from March 2nd we also blanked out. I click
on them in Outlook and it is just blank, no information. I went ahead and
deleted these blank messages but just don't know why this is happening.
Again, I can view the messages just fine in Hotmail. I am not sure what you
mean "with what type of account od you access" are you referring to MAPI?

What I mean is are you using the Outlook Connector to access MSN or a POP
account, but I can infer from what you say that it's the Outlook Connector.
If my inference is incorrect, let me know.

If this were to happen to me, I'd remove the MSN account from Outlook, stop
and resatrt Outlook, then re-add the account to see if that made a difference.
