Half dead Windows XP how to reinstall

Well my cd rom and xp disk is fine just when it loads the setup it stopped
after started kernal giving error message " line 55 not found bla bla" I
couldn't continue the setup process and i can't startup windows so could
anyone tell me how to format or reinstall the windows

Kayman has given you links to installation instructions, but if you are
getting errors during the installation as your post intimates, then you
have hardware issues.

Just saying "my cd rom and xp disk is fine [sic]" isn't precise enough. Did
you test them? If indeed you did test them and they really are fine, some
other hardware component is failing. You also need to test your hard drive
and RAM.
