HAL in Server 2003 and XP Pro

Hi,

Somebody was telling me that RAID cards will olny work properly with
Server 2003 and not XP Pro, because the HAL in XP Pro is not the same
as the one in Server 2003, and the one in Server 2003 is made for
hardware raid and the one in XP Pro is not.

Is there any truth to this?

Hardware raid is invisible to the operating system so it is an untruth.

No, but the Microsoft SOFTWARE RAID only works with Server 2003 and not XP.
