How can I download my movie pictures on my disc to your Microsoft movie
maker, as this needs software that supports the AVCHD, and can I abtain this
by downloading such from Microsoft,or some other party? I can play back on
our H.D. tv with HDMI. but I would also like to do the same on my computer?

Upgrade to vista ultimate
buy something like Ulead video studio, but you need an awfully good pc to
watch/play/edit avchd files.
