I am trying to import an mpeg, made from a Panasonic digital camcorder into
Movie Maker and it says the codec is not on my system.

I thought .mpeg we common and supported my MM.

Here is the message....
cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not
installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install
the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the
file again

=============================
Movie Maker does not like MPEG files...
sometimes they will slide through but
many times they fail and cause issues.
