Gygabyte 9200 VIVO

I'm in the market for a video card for a new system and have this card in
mind. I'm not into heavy 3D gaming that would require a top of the line
card (the 8500 128meg that I have in my other system seems to run the games
I do play just fine) and the VIVO would be a major plus (I don't need an AIW
card for this system). I'm a bit confused with all of the 9x00 cards
available and am not sure just where the 9200 fits in hierarchy. Am I safe
in assuming that the 9200 would be fairly similar in performance to my 8500?
The 9200 in question is a full 9200 (no SE model) with 128 megs or memory.

Any assistance and/or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would not purchase anything made my Gigabyte. I have the Radeon 9200 by
Gigabyte. I am unable to adjust the clock rates using their own software
that is provided with the card. Contacted support. I received one response
from them. Tried several other times to get help and do not get any replies
from them. Lame-O.

I have the same card. The drivers on the cd ruined my system beyong any
repair (this happened when installed on a new machine I had just put
together, so no previous drivers to blame). The Gigabyte utility would
not work and was also crah-prone. Finally, the bundled game would not
start at all. I didn't get into contacting them, but it was obvious that
they didn't pay much attention to the details of their bundled cds...
