Guestbook Not Working ?

L

Larry D Gibbs

When I enter a comment into the guestbook the following error is received:
FrontPage Error.
User: please report details to this site's webmaster.

Webmaster: please see the server's system log for more details.

If I open the form in FrontPage and save it and then publish it the
guestbook works once and then the same thing happens. My site is
www.larrygibbs.com and it used to work all the time. Listed below is the
actual code for the guestbook which was made with FrontPage 2003.

Try the following code:
I made a few changes because there were some nesting issues with tags.
Also make sure you publish using http://www.larrygibbs.com and not ftp://

I made the change and used your code but there is still a problem, it works
one time after publishing and when I reenter the site I get the error
message. I think maybe my Guestlog might be messed up so I am sending the
code for it to see if you see any problems.

I found your site via strykernews.com, I just wanted to say thankyou for
your support for our troops and for you service to this country. I have a
boyfriend in stryker brigade. It gets hard but people like you make it a
little more barable. I also wanted to comment on the link &quot;how did you
sleep last night&quot; So many people take for granted what we have here. I
myself can be guilty of it. But I have found now, that when I start I just
think of my boyfriend and the other soldiers (past and present) that have
made sacrafices, sometimes the ultimate, and realize that without them I
would not have the freedom and comforts I have today. I am proud to be an
American and I am proud of the men and women of the Armed forces. So again
Thankyou for your wondeful site and support!

Take care and God Bless,
Liz

<p>You should make it so new entries in the Guest Book show up at the top of

I just made two test entries in it with no trouble??
Made one, got the confirmation, clicked back, clicked the Read Guestbook
link,
then clicked the Guestbook link and did the second one.
Clicked back and forth several times.

Works fine here!!

Have you tried clearing your temporary internet and history files??

I'll look at the code you posted for the other pages, but I'm positive it's
not the issue.

I just tried it after clearing my history and temp files it doesn't work. If
it works for you there must be some setting on my computer that is messing
it up. It works 1 time if I publish the site then stops.

Thanks for your help.

I think I figured out what was wrong but I am not sure why this would be the
problem. I was accessing the site http://larrygibbs.com and had the problem
but when I use http://www.larrygibbs.com/ the guestbook works. The page
loads both ways but the guestbook only works with the second link. Is there
a reason for this?

Contact your host and have them map both
