I have had Windows XP for a couple of months. I put the updates on it, got a virus, lost the IE. Then just a few days ago, got a Trojan horse, didn't loose anything that I know of. I do have this Content.IE5\K31VUUFP\Instal~1.exe. Does anybody know what that is? And big question is. How do I take XP """OFF"""" my computer???? I want my 98 back. They can take this XP and do something else with it. I just wish they could upgrade the 98 better. So far, to me XP sucks and a waste of money. Yes, I do have the firewall on. If it wasn't for my AVG, I wouldn't have a computer right now

If you got a virus and a Trojan, you missed something in the form of

Note: since Windows 98 is FAT32, you will have no security.
You are probably better off staying with what you paid for and learn
how to use it as long as your computer can handle it:

You have had Windows XP more than 30 days so returning for a refund is
not a likely option.

Let's see you want to go back to 98 because you became infected because you
couldn't be bothered to protect your system?! What a moron!

If it came with the computer, then you can kiss any warranty you have
goodbye.

It only "sucks" (oh how I hate that word) because *YOU* can't be bothered to
learn how to use it. You don't need a computer - I suggest you take it back
and swap it for a VTech. 98 is no longer supported, there are no updates for
it (or they're dropping off) and soon, you won't be able to buy hardware
with 98 support. But you do what you like. At least the 98 groups will have
to put up with your whining/ranting/abuse.
