GroupWise 5.5 with Outlook 2003

Has anyone successfully configured Outlook 2003 to accept
a Novell (Groupwise 5.5) address book? I have one user who
insists on using Outlook. While I'm an Microsoft and
Outlook fan as well, we're stuck with Novell company-wide.

So far Outlook 2003 and Groupwise are co-existing well,
except that this user can no longer view his Novell
address book in Groupwise. Ideally, I'd like for Outlook
to recognize the Novell address book so that this user
doesn't have to touch Groupwise.

Hi Matt,

There is no direct method for importing a Novell GroupWise Address Book
into Outlook.

Moving your Address Book from a GroupWise client into Outlook is a
three-step process:

-Copy the necessary address from the Address Book to the Personal Address
Book in GroupWise

- Export the Personal Address Book from GroupWise.

- Import the Personal Address Book into Outlook.

Export the Personal Address Book from GroupWise

1. Start the GroupWise client program.

2. On the Tools menu, click Address Book.

3. On the File menu, click Export.

4. In the Export Question dialog box, click Entire Address Book.

5. Type a name for your address book, specify a location to which you want
to save it, and then click Save to save the address book as a .nab file.

NOTE: A .nab file is a text file in the comma separated values format. It
may be opened and verified in Notepad, or any other text editor.

Import the Personal Address Book into Outlook

1. Start Outlook.

2. On the File menu, click "Import and Export".

3. Click "Import from another program or file", and then click Next.

4. Click "Comma Separated Values (Windows)", and then click Next.

5. Locate the file that you want to import, and then click Next.

6. Click the folder to which you want to import your Personal Address Book,
and then click Next.

7. Map the fields for your Contacts folder layout and click Finish. For
more information about mapping fields, click Microsoft Outlook Help on the
Help menu, type how to map fields in the Office Assistant or the Answer
Wizard, and then click Search to view the topic.

The GroupWise Personal Address Book is imported into your Outlook Contacts
