grouping shapes with lines inside

I am drawing circles with lines inside- the grouping option will not work!
How do I set the final shape so that it will all group?

You forgot to tell us in what program you are attempting to draw lines.
If this is a MS Office program, a better place to post your question
will be in the appropriate Office program newsgroup.
