Group removal of flags

Select all (use Ctrl+ or Sift+ click to select a group) and right click,
Follow-up, clear flag or mark complete.

Try highlighting the items in question, keep the shift or ctrl down, right
click on an item and choose to remove all the categories.
 
I successfully highlighted all the emails then right clicked with the cursor
on the highlighted list. A window opens with choices of Open, Print,
Forward, Mark as Read or Unread, Delete, Move to folder but no option to
remove how to just remove the flag.
