How do I apply a group policy to a local administrator on an xp machine
I can apply it to all other user groups on the machine just not any one in the local admin group

Are you using GPO from AD, or are you speaking of use
of local group policy, and if so, is the machine joined to
an uplevel domain ?

Yes i am using the GPO from the AD, and the machine is a
memeber of the domain and the user is a domain user.

That is rather strange Philip. What policy is it ?
Also, is it just so on a specific machine ? If so,
examine the permissions on and within the folder
system32\GroupPolicy

Its on all my XP machines.
I have Two domain policy one for standard user and one
for advance users.
When the advance user log on to a machine were they are a
power user or below the correct policy is applied. But
when they log on to machine were they are local admins
the group policy is not applied (this is a company policy
for laptop users). I have checked the RSoP on the domain
controller it reported that the policey was not applied
to security filltering, but the user can read the the
folder system32\GroupPolicy.
