Group Policy Wallpaper Not Loading Properly

I have a corperate jpeg loading as the wallpaper - pushed via a group policy
object. All seemed well - until I noticed on a few PCs and servers where the
wallpaper doesn't load properly.

Have the screen is covered by the wallpaper and half not - the second half
appears black. This is configured through the active desktop section in the
group policy.

Anyone know what could be causing this?

Oh yes, and if I right click the desktop and click refresh - the wallpaper
is ok.

Infact that doesnt work, the computers still had the .jpg wallpaper on
from the 1st time I logged on, so I assumed it was working, but any new
computers that I log on whilst .bmp is supposed to be loading, no
wallpaper loads at all.

In your Group Policy setting, if the Wallpaper Style is set to
Stretch, try Center and see what happens.

I've been having some wallpaper problems recently also. Some update
seems to have changed some Windows settings that I haven't figured out
yet. There now appears to be some sort of limit as to how many
wallpapers you can have installed, for the stretch function to work
properly the wallpaper apparently has to be 800x600, wallpapers need to
be in the c:\Windows\web\wallpaper folder and they need to be in .jpg
file format. I haven't figured out the limit yet, but I've got less
than 20 in that folder and everything works fine now. I haven't yet
added one at a time to see exactly when Windows XP Pro starts acting
funky over it. Anyway that's the workaround that I've had to apply to
get the wallpaper functions working properly again. I have no viruses,
trojans, spyware etc. on this machine as per Spyware Doctor, AVG, Trend
Micro and other scanners so that's not the problem.
