Group Policy - Audit Object Access - Not working - Help

A

Andrew Mott

Have reviewed several MS articles (KB301640, KB300549, KB315416) but cannot
get the Policy to work.

The Effective Setting remains as "No Auditing".

Basically want to audit who reads, chnages, deletes files on the Server
shared folders (specific folders only).

If someone has any other ideas it would be great.

Thanks
Andrew

That probably means that a security policy at a higher level such as
domain/OU/domain controller [for domain controllers only] is setting the
actual policy. If this is for a domain controller, set the policy in Domain
Controller Security Policy. For another computer you may want to create an
OU with a new GPO that has auditing enabled as you want and then move the
computers into that OU. Gpresult can help determine where machine policy is
being applied from.--- Steve
