audit using group policy

I have a question: can I set up a local group policy to audit particular user
folder who accessed and who opened it or who deleted some files inside this
folder?

We have some very sensitive information in this folder so we limited a few
access to it but I want to monitor it who accesses it or read it the info in
it. I doubt whether we can do this without using a 3rd party software but
someone may know a way to audit it.

Hi Ginger. I don’t know if this is possible without a third-party tool, but we use netwrix file server change reporter for exactly this reason. I recommend giving it a look. It audits and reports on changes and access to file servers and permissions.
