Audit Settings changed Automatically

I am using windows 2003 Server. I have applied audit login events settings
using Default Domain Controller Policy. But these changes revert back within
24 hours by another DC on the domain. When I lokked into the event log of
that DC, it says the group policy changes by Administrator or any other
administartor account who logs on. While there is no one else who can change
the policy. Also, In default domain policy these settings are not defined. I
only defined in the default domain controller policy. I dont know how these
are get changed back automatically. Can anyone help on this?

Seems that someone is playing with you...

Try this:

Create a new policy with a higher priority than default domain policy,
define the settings that you want, wait and see what happens.
