Group Policies VS Group Policy folders in SYSVOL

i have gone through active directory and counted the number of GPOs that I
have (Domain, OUs, Domain Controller) and i count 4. However, when I go
through Windows explorer, into Winnt, in the SYSVOL folder, it has 9 folders
in the Policies folder. I am thinking that this could be where a GPO had
been linked to an OU and the OU was deleted without first deleting or moving
the GPO. Is there a way to know which folder goes with which GPO?

The easist way to map guid names to the friendly names is to run gpotool.exe
/verbose > gpotool.txt. It will list the names and the policy guid name

I'm sorry. I forgot to mention that you have to install the Windows 2000
support tools to have it.

That's fine, I looked it up and found where you could download it. Thanks.
BTW, when I ran it, I found where there were 3 policies that had errors. It
appears that somehow they've got stuck out in limbo. What is a good way to
clean up my group policies?
