Group policies in OU

I have a PDC (Win2000) with AD where I've created a new OU that contains
users with mobile profiles and one security group called Group1. All of this
users are members of Domain Users and Group1 groups.
I have defined a group policy in this OU to set restrictions to users in
thier workstations, but it don't work.

Here you have an example of a policy that doesn´t work in workstation:
.. on OU -> (right button) Properties - Group Policy - Add New
.. User Config / Admin. Templates / Win Components / Internet Explorer /
Control Panel /Disable Security Tab -> Enabled

In fact, I've defined new paths in User Config / Win Config / Folder Redir.
and it works ok.
I haven´t any GPO defined neither Site, or domain, so the OU GPO should work
properply.
I also have been reviewing security tab in GPO properties.
I've reading some manuals about it and all of them explains how to do as I'm
doing it.
what's wrong?

Thanks.

Hi Alvaro-

What permissions does the GPO have? The users, or a security group they are
a member of, should have Read Allow and Apply Group Policy Allow permissions
there.

The user accounts should be in the OU the GPO is linked to.

These are the most common problems. Please repost if they don't help.

Hi Tim.

OU called OUSample contains a security group called Group1 and two users
(User1 and User2), members of 'Domain Members' and 'Group1'
In OUSample Properties (Right-Click) / Policy Group: I've defined a GPO
called 'OUSample Policy'.
In Properties/Links GPO appears linked to OUSample.
In Properties/Security I have added:
1st time: Group1 with Read and Apply permissions.
2nd time: User1 and User2 directly with Read and Apply Permissions

I have tried activating 'Don't Replace...' in Options button and also 'Block
Inheritance' in OU Properties / Group Policy.

Workstations are running Win2k Pro.

I cannot understand what's wrong :-???

Thanks for your time.

Hi Alvaro-

What is the setting(s) that you would like the users to receive?
