Group name instead of SID

Hi
I have a problem with working with GPO from my station. After modifying any
setting, GPO file is saved on DC, but every local group and local user is
recorded as it's Name instead of SID number.
When this policy is processing by non-english system (I'm using english) it
cannot find out these groups and users have not appropriate rights to the
system (including loggin on, backup, etc).
I have not installed MUI Pack.

I dont thik that is the solution for my problem. I try to bring it closer.
In GptTmpl.inf file are stored GPO settings for for example User Rights. When
I have changed Backup Priviledge Setting I got:
SeBackupPrivilege = Administrators
instead of:
SeBackupPrivilege = S-1-5-32-544

You don´t need to, I had the problem myself ...
my solution was to work with RDP and creatign/administrating
the GPO on the Server and not from a client with a different
language.

I just found that article some time later, but never could
test it til now, because I have actually no network with
different language OS.

So, if you could give it a try? ;-)

Hi Mark
Your solution proposition didn't help me - local group are still presented
as names, not SIDs.
But You need to notice, that I'm using English OS, the same language version
servers are installed. But clients (Windows 2000 and XP) are in Polish
version.
