Green and Orange lights on NIC

Hi,

Just a quick question that I hope someone can answer. At the back of my
computer the are Green and Orange lights on my Network Card. Can someone
explain what each is an what they mean. Especially when sometimes green is
on and orange is off and so on.

Go to the web site of the NICs manufacturer and ask them.

One indicator, mostly Green, is a Link state (the NIC is connected to a
valid link partner) and the other one, mostly blinking Amber, is a
Transmission state (network data is being sent or received).
