Greek Windows XP Blue Screen unreadable

Joe Black

Greetings,

I've got a problem: I have the greek version of Windows XP Professional
installed. From time to time something causes my PC to halt and Windows
displays a blue screen. Unfortunately, the text is unintelligible. It seems
like a code page conversion problem. Where should I start looking for
solutions? How can I make the text appear properly in greek?

Thanks in advance

Yes that is an anoying problem that microsoft must fix!
Its not on your computer only.

you will have to go to the EVENT viewer to see what caused the blue screen

START > CONTROL PANEL (classic view)>ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS > EVENT VIEWER
or
Enarksi > Pinakas elengxou (klassiki provolh)> Ergalia diaxirisis> Provolh
symvandon

Look there to see the errors that occured.

Sorry, I've already tried that! The crash event that causes the blue screen
does not register at all in any of the event logs! The timer restarts the PC
at 100 seconds, so I have plenty of time to write down the dll/sys and the
actual STOP message, so this is not a problem. But I would like to find a
way to see the blue screen in proper greek rather than random gibberish!
Perhaps if I installed additional greek code pages?

I know what you mean but I have not found a way to fix this problem. Its an
MS bug.
I dont think you will easily find a solution to it.
