Grayscale Printing with Windows Vista

I have an HP 6110, and am using Windows Vista. I've set the print preferences
for grayscale printing and use black ink cartridge only, but everything still
prints in color. Is there anyway to get everything to come out in black and
white only?

Is this using a driver that is already in VISTA or downloading and
installing a VISTA driver from HP?

It looks as if there is one for the C6150 at:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=2093&lc=en&cc=us&dlc
=en&product=1153491&lang=en

which is a fully featured one.

If you try that, uninstall any HP printer files that show up in
Add/Remove Programs and any HP icon in Control Panel / Printers &
scanners, disconnect the USB cable from the PC (not just from the
Printer) and reboot.

Then install the downloaded HP software and do not connect the USB
cable and printer until either the software tells you to or until
[Finish] and restarting the PC.

Then connect it and VISTA should detect new hardware and should use the
new driver and not one that may be in VISTA itself and less featured.

You won't do any harm, and may avoid a problem, when installing the
software if you right mouse click on it and click on Properties /
Compatibility and check the box [X] Run as Administrator.

Hope that does it.
