Graphics distorted when printed

I have asked about this before but I never got any answers and I dropped it
because I figured it would be fixed in 2007, but it turns out it isn't.
Make a pie chart and draw an autoshape circle around it. When you print it,
the pie chart will still be circular while the circle is oval.
Can anyone confirm this or suggest a fix?

Assuming I replicated correctly what you are trying to do, I managed to print
it correctly. I drew the circle using the Oval autoshape, holding down the
shift key to get the circle.

I haven't tried it in 2007 but I can confirm that what you see in the way of
shapes is not always what you get when you print them. This was called to my
attention quite some time back when a friend was trying to use Excel shapes
to pretty much do design/layout work that would have been better done in
Visio. The shapes do not necessarily print to the same dimensions as
shown/created on the worksheets themselves. This behavior also exists in the
Mac version of Excel. It seems to go all the way back through all versions
of Excel, and apparently even into 2007 even though the graphic engine was
redesigned for 2007 (and is shared by all 2007 Office applications?).
