Graphics card

Terry

I have just bought an Advent 7035 laptop, with Pentium 4
2.8 processor (using Windows XP Home Edition) and as all
game problems I have encountered in the past have been
RAM related, I made sure it had 512MB RAM already on it.
However, I have tried to install Call of Duty and it
looks like the video card is inadequate. My question is,
as the graphics card (SIS650) is apparently part of the
motherboard on this model, is it possible to add
to/change the graphics card? I would appreciate any help,
thanks in advance, Terry

I'm not sure as to whats available for laptops, but a card with memor
is in order.If you look at a game box,min. requirments,most all o
them wil say,"at least 16mb graphics card", a motherboard usuall
only has 4 or 8 mb given for graphics.

Laptops are not expandable like standard PCs. Everything is on the main
board (motherboard) and you can not replace the video card. Most laptops
are designed for office work not games.

However, I only know of one laptop manufacturer which does make a gaming
laptop which you can replace the video card. Alienware makes the Area-51m
laptop.
