Grandmars X1300 not working properly at AGP 8x

When I set it at AGP 8x on Asrock P4I65G (cheap board), the screen would
become a mess after a game started for more than 5 minutes. Is it
normal? Problem of the card or the board?

There is no BIOS setting to set the AGP speed....

There is no BIOS setting to set the AGP speed....

Could be either. Sometimes hardware just doesn't play nice together.
I've had a similar issue and used the software to turn the speed down to
4x. You'll need to download the driver with the ATI control centre in
order to get this functionality, not just the bare driver package.

Could also be heat. What's the case temperature? Is the GPU fan on the
graphics card still spinning? Does your graphics card report GPU
temperature?

Are you using the latest board and card drivers?

The case's ventilation is good.

Are you using the latest board and card drivers?

Yes. Both 865G and X1300 drivers are latest.
