Grand Theft Auto Vice City

Hi,
When i install vice city on my new dell computer which
has xphome. It stops the installation half way through
saying the following mesage:

Component: Directx 9.0
File group :
File :
Error : Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

When i looked it said it was installing:
Installing Directx Redistributables...

I have laptop i bought last year and it works fine on that
thanks a lot for your help in advance.

Hi Sean,

The file might be unreadable due to dirt or scratches on
your CD, I recommend that you install DirectX 9.0b:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/c/9/c/c9c8a1d4-7690-4c98-baf3-0c67e7f3751f/dx90b_redist.exe
