Grammar checking

Hi Group,
I have several documents, but certainly not all my document, where I want
Word NOT to check the grammar. So my question is can I turn off grammar check
for specific documents with out turning it off for ALL documents?

Specifically I copy Job desriptions out of web site and keep a journal. The
poor Grammar and spelling mistakes are Green and Red undelined. It appears
that grammar and spelling check are application specific, not Document
specific?

Thank you Anne. It does look like it applied to only this document. You have
a good day.

Hi Again,
Since I have selected all of the text of the document, thus far, it will
also apply to any text pasted or added to the document?

Thanks Again,

A better solution for you might be to check the boxes for "Hide spelling
errors in this document" and "Hide grammatical errors in this document" on
the Spelling & Grammar tab of Tools | Options. This is a document-specific
setting and will apply to anything you type. The red and green wavy
underlines will not be displayed but you can still check the spelling or
grammar manually if you choose.

Very good Suzanne, thank you for your assistance, this is very much what I am
trying to accomplish. Us poor Excel users find Word bewildering at times, lol.
