How do I turn off grammar for all documents?

I'm using Word 2007 and I want to turn off grammar and style for all
documents. I've gone into "word options," "proofing," unchecked everything
under "when correcting spelling and grammar," under "exceptions for" I
clicked "all new documents" and clicked on "hide spelling errors" and "hide
grammar errors." I thought this would set the default for any new document I
created or any previously created document. No matter what I do, I still get
wavy blues lines. Is there any way to turn this off altogether?

Do all the same stuff in your normal.dotm template. (Open it from
within Word, Office Button > Open > Templates.) Then it will be turned
off for all new documents (unless there are other templates in startup
places that have it turned on).
