Gpedit not configured

Using gpedit "Software Installation Subnode" does NOT exist for either
computer confguration or user configuration.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Operating system is XPPro.

Create a console.

Make sure that the Extensions are selected.

File | Add/Remove snap-in | Extensions tab | Change to Group Policy under
Snap-ins that can be extended | Scroll down and select both Software
Installation (Computers) and Software Installation (Users) | Click OK
