Unsigned ActiveX

Hello

Domain 2003.

I installed a software on a user's computer. But I am unable to run it as
an error message appears saying something like "unsigned ActiveX is not
permitted". To allow this program to run, I had to go to the Local Policy
(gpedit) under User Configuration/Windows Settings/Internet Explorer
Maintenance/Security/Security Zones and Content Ratings... and then under
"Security Zones and Privacy" I enabled "Import the current security zones and
privacy settings". Clicked Modify Settings/Local intranet/Custom Level and
then I enabled all ActiveX (signed and unsigned).

This will allow the downloading of any unsigned ActiveX. I just want to
allow only the software I installed to run even with an unsigned ActiveX.

Any idea please ?

Hi,

For your issue, I think you can only add the fixed site into a security
zone and allow to run unsigned ActiveX in this zone.

Because such action (allow to run unsigned ActiveX or not) is controlled by
the security zone policy. Otherwise, you have to sign the ActiveX.

Thanks.
