Got to love those 'Critical Updates' - please help

M

me

Hi All,

Today my 'puter suggested loading 9 critical updates (auto update enabled).

I agreed, loaded then rebooted.

Now I have no network connection (LAN), no PC - Cillin and no restore points
to go back to.

When I open 'Network Connections' under 'Control Panel' I am warned that
'The network connections folder was unable to retrieve the list of network
adapters on your machine. Please make sure that the network connections
service is enabled and running.'

This service is running, however when I attempt to check dependencies, I
receive an error 'Win32: Access is denied.'

Not Happy.....

Can someone please advise how I might back out of this mess...

WinXP Pro SP2
9 updates loaded 12/10/05

Thanks,

Neil

Did you set a system restore point prior to downloading the updates?
