Google tool bar... a question

Does operating it in the advanced mode jeopardize one's security? I know
they keep tabs on my browsing but according to them, it's not to provide me
with selected ads nor to profile me but to assist them in better ranking
their pages in their search.

Anyway... I'm wondering if I should operate it in the non-advance mode or if
I'm being overly cautious and if I'm limiting what the tool bar can do with
such restrictions?

Rule of thumb: Don't provide ANYONE with any more information than
is needed. The Google tool bar is nice - but my advice is to NOT use
the advance mode. The Google tool bar will function just fine in
standard mode.
