google search engine not working with IE 6.0 on Windows XP

My google search engine is not working right now. I'm
not at all computer savvy and am looking for assistance.

I have Windows XP and Internet Explorer 6.0.

What has happened and how can I correct the problem?

Remove the Google search toolbar from "Add/Remove Programs" in the Control
Panel and then re-install it.
