Google search box gone

The Google search box which has long been a part of the upper toolbars of my
IE 6 display page is gone. How do I get it back?

I've tried right clicking a blank spot on the upper toolbars>Customize
button - but Google is not listed in "Available toolbar buttons."

Any help appreciated.

You should probably try a Google Newsgroup. But you might click Tools,
"Manage Add-ons" and see if its extension has been disabled there.
