Google links changed when clicking on search list links

I found (using windows defender )symicsvc.exe running on my computer. Its
supposedly a symantec anti-virusprogram.... trouble is I use McAfee but I did
leave some file folders around when I had symantic sw installed. I removed
all the files and the problem went away.
