Google help - weirdest thing ever

When i go to google.com, i'm being redirected to www.google.ca/xhtml, which
is not right, and i can't search properly.

what could be wrong?

Canada.
You are being re-directed to the xhtml version of the site because (most
likely) your User-Agent string that your browser is sending.
