goldmine dbase 6.7 to BCM3

Ed Marmon

There's lots of mentions of Act! guys trying to move over to BCM and
there's an import routine for that, esp. detailed in the latest BCM blog
post. But what about people with Goldmine Business Contact Manager, esp.
the dbase version 6.7 which has been discontinued, and you're gonna get a
lot of defections from disgruntled customers.

Goldmine can sync contacts ( basic fields ) with outlook contacts, so I did
that and just dragged the contacts over to BCM contacts, and it ( slowly )
converted them. But what about all my histories that are a many-to-one
relationship with the contacts? Is there no Goldmine dbase import template
planned?

Thanks

I recall a Goldmine import in the first beta of BCM v1 but only QB and
ACT import made it to release. I remember the explanation for
droppping it being that most Goldmine users are medium size businesses
and BCM is not powerful enough to support those--in v1 BCM only
supported single user databases. MSCRM may support Goldmine import.
