Going mobile - where to get Smartphone/PocketPC devices and service

Hello all,

My company is about to take it's next big step into .NET compact framework
development and my first task is getting a Windows 2003 SmartPhone and a
PocketPC 2003 device w/ phone like the T-Mobile HP device.

Preferably it would be some setup where we could have both on the same
account and just swap a simm card or something as needed

Looking at AT&T, Cingular, and T-Mobile it doesn't appear that I can get
both from one company!

Any suggestions are very much appreciated!

I suggest that you consider buying an unlocked device from a place like
Expansys (www.expansys-usa.com). This way you would be able to put in it any
SIM you might have. Or, get T-mobile ipaq with a SIM and plan and by the
phone device separately from Expansys.

In my case I got just a SIM and a plan from TMobile and later bought (or
otherwise acquired) several phones and PPCPEs that I use in turns

So the HP iPaqs do use a standard SIMM card?

If it is a GSM/GPRS device, then yes.
