Going Digital

Hey guys,

I have my CATV connected straight to my ATI ALL IN WONDER PRO for
recording my shows.

Next february, is my video recording obsolete?

What alternative cards are there that will do what my ATI does now? I
really enjoy my cheap "TiVo :) setup, and would hate to lose that
feature.

Thanks a lot

As others said, only for Over The Air.

Many, Hauppage and DVICO are well regarded. There are many more. We
have 3 HDTV Wonders and while they work well, ATI has anandoned them
and their software was quirky more than 'buggy'. I use MMC9.14 with
Jetway Radeon 9600XT cards in all 3 Athlon XP machines.
Thanks a lot

After you go digital you'll wonder whay you didn't do it sooner - LOTS
sooner. We've been watching ATSC OTA since December '03 and the first
recorder started in November '04. Second August '05 and third in July
'06. This past fall there were nights when all 3 were recording while
watching a 4th show with the STB digital tuner. I have a few hundred
hours of shows canned without commecials on 2 500 gig USB drives.
Masterpiece Theatre, Nature, Bones, House, CSI, NCIS and lots more.
No reruns here.
