'GO' Button Problem

When I type in a web address and then hit the 'GO' Button,
it loads the web page OK, but once it has done that, I
can't close it, it doesn't seem to see anything on the
page , so if I click where there should be a link it just
refreshes. The only way out is to close the page with
CTRL+ALT+DELT. Any help much appreciated

This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware, parasite).
Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
