Awwww...... I really didnt mean my bad cruel words towards firefox.
Its a good browser... and it has microsoft start working on IE again.
But you have to know that what FF is now, Opera was years ago.
Opera was the first that had tabs, and many other innovations.
How did Firefox become so popular then? Well people never liked the opera
interface since it was a bit strange, and it had a banner for the free
version...
and then there were the devoted netscape fans. They had to choose between
netscape who had become a monster and mozilla.. who was dinosoaur, but still
a monster. Then popped up Firefox out of the mozilla teams.
Its approach? Simplicity and expandability.
So the older netscape fans jumped on it, and the new generation of MS haters
jumped to it, and the people afraid of viruses jumped to it.
In my opinion Opera lost a great opportunity to get a big share of the
market.
Had it made the shift to true freeware before firefox was out, and fixed its
interface a bit.. it would have had a big portion of the market.
Firefox extensions have the culprint of breaking when you updates.. and the
themes too.. thats a problem...
I would like to know if that was a microsoft idea.. how would the users
respond??? They would rant away on endless blog pages!
Since you are a big fan of firefox, you should look into these 2 if you dont
already know them:
FireFox preloader

Seamonkey (the new name of the mozilla suite)
