I once had Norton Go back but it was such pain that i uninstalled it, but now
when i try to Download Norton anti virus update it gets as far as Norton Go
Back then stops, the result is i am getting no virus updates, help, John

You definitely need to trash go back (again) what version do you have ?

Did you follow these instructions when uninstalling?

Also you may just need to download liveupdate manually. (First uninstall)
then using the file you downloaded re-install live update.

Sometimes live update will get trashed and you need to fix it.

You should also be able to download the virus def's manually (as a temp
solution).
