I am able to get my aol mail via windows mail, but am unable to get my gmail.
This is the message. Any info greatly appreciated.

all is not lost though you need to get windows live mail (free from
microsoft) which is basically a replacement for the version that ships
with Vista. you can get it 'Here' (http://get.live.com/wlmail/overview)
The program is much better than the original:D. have a look on google's
help to find the settings you need once you have it downloaded and
installed

You are dead wrong. Gmail works just fine in Windows Mail if you put in
the correct port numbers.
