Global File Association?

Hi all, I have a PC running Windows XP SP2, has a custom orogram
running on it. This program registers a file extension, but does not
associate a program with it.

My question is, can I associate that extension with a specific program
for all future users of this PC?

Thanks Haggis, but that only seems to change for the current user... I
need to set this so all future users have the association without going
through these steps...

BNP,

Create a association using Folder Options (File Types) tab. The settings
apply to all the user accounts.
