Global catalog problems and infos!

Hi to all!
We have that simple AD structure:
Domain A with 2 DC
Child Domain B.A (via 1mbit Wan) with 1 DC
Child Domain C.A (via 1mbit Wan) with 1 DC
Child Domain D.A with 1 DC

Domain A is serving 250+clients
Domain B.A is serving 10 clients
Domain C.A is serving 15 clients
Domain D.A is serving 20 clients

Everything is on the "pdc" of domain A(Rid,pdc
emulator,etc.etc.), except the global catalog that is on
the "bdc" (i use pdc and bdc just to identify main and
secondary DC)
Everything works fine, but in event viewer every day we
got an "event id 1126 Unable to establish connection with
global catalog".

The questions are :
Is that really an error that could be degenerate in
problems, or something that could be passed on (since
everything is working fine)?
After reading several tids, microsoft seems to encourage
putting a global catalog in every DC, is that right or we
misreaded it?

Thanks in advance for every asnwer :)

Uee Francesco,

it is common practice to have at least one GC per domain. What you
want is to have queries for attributes stored by GCs to be resolved
locally and not to have through other domains.

Do this (using AD Sites & Services) and I bet the error will
disappear...
By the way, check port 3268 (or 3269 in case of encryption) in case
there are FWs in the way.

Buona serata,
Ciao
