A customer lost his global address list. We tried
recreating his exchange account. Everything looks good in
outlook. Nothing changed on the network and other users
can access the list ok. Any reccomendations?
I though microsoft support looked at these posts. Why do
they never reply to my posts? Is there another newsgroup
that this post would be more appropriate for? Also I am a
MS partner, a little support would be nice.
Thanks

This is not Microsoft support. This is a newsgroup for peer-to-peer
support. Occasionally, MS employees post here, but that is out of the
goodness of their hearts. If you didn't get an answer, it's because no
one knew one. Your post is not clear. If you want support, you should
definitely call Microsoft.

There are a whole load of forums beginning with
microsoft.public.exchange.* - take a look there.

M$ do occasionally respond in these forums but it
is entirely voluntary on there part.

Actually, this question is better answered in the Exchange group. IIRC, the
global address list is acquired once he is connected to Exchange server, and he
downloads it for offline use. It's been a long while since I've worked with
Exchange, but that's basics I remember. Have you checked the Microsoft TechNet
website for more information regarding the Exchange server global list?
