Hardware Asylum have been taking a look at the Gigabyte G1 Sniper Z87 Motherboard - here's an excerpt from their review:

"In this review we will be looking at the new G1 Sniper Z87 from Gigabyte. Now before you say it, this is not the G1 Sniper 5. The Sniper 5 is the 4-way motherboard with a watercooled VRM and lots of awesome. As you can imagine lots of awesome costs money and can sometimes be cost prohibitive to gamers on a budget. The Sniper Z87 is a new version of this motherboard designed for the mainstream gamer market using the same chipset and core features.

As we all know budget is one of the biggest concerns when setting out to build a new computer and you want to make sure you are getting the most out of your hard earned dollar. We don’t normally bring up budget when it comes to enthusiast hardware but, if you could get everything to build a great gaming right at over half the cost it might be something to pay attention to."

I nearly went for this board in my current build, but was put off as this seems to have a higher than average failure rate. Mostly revolving around the on board audio.

Nice board if you dont have any issues though. :)
